Fiber Arts (Grades 8–12)

Description: This class is designed to introduce students to a range of fiber and textile mediums and processes including, but not limited to knitting/crocheting, weaving, embroidery, felting, and appliqué. The process of dying textiles will also be explored. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to various fiber and mixed media artists whose artwork highlights the elements of art and principles of design. There is a $30 material fee included in the cost of this course.
Class and Material Cost: $413
Supplies: 1 yard of white quilting cotton or muslin, one packet of Heat n’ Bond Extrahold Fusible (1 yard) in the red package, and a beginner sewing kit.
