Standardized achievement testing can affirm your homeschooling efforts. This objective evaluation can confirm your child’s successful progress (tests are “norm” referenced which means they compare with other students at the same age level across the nation).
The IOWA Basics is a time-tested, well-respected assessment standard accepted by state, local, and federal government agencies who may question your ability and choice to home school. It is a powerful tool in understanding your child’s academic progress and a critical instrument in helping to plan for your child’s continued academic growth. It is also a valuable addition to your academic record and transcript, assisting in high-school and college placement efforts.
