Print Making Studio (Grades 8–12)

Description: This class will engage students in a variety of printmaking processes including, but not limited to, monotypes, relief printing, intaglio, collagraphy, and lithographs. Students will deepen their knowledge of both traditional and contemporary printmaking processes through the study of both historical and contemporary artworks. The theme of self-identity from a Biblical lens will be explored throughout each project. Students will be responsible for keeping a sketchbook of process notes and project ideas in this course. There is a $30 material fee included in the cost of this class.

Supplies: Sketchbook, apron or art shirt, 9 x 12 or larger size portfolio (to keep artwork in), old towel
