Science and Lab Credit
Prerequisite: To be successful in this course, students should have a foundational knowledge of pre-algebra math skills, as well as a basic understanding of the scientific method and lab skills. Students must have the maturity for self-directed learning at home throughout the week. Students are expected to come to Friday’s class prepared for the lab experiment.

In this class students study basic principles of earth sciences and then push on to basic physics. This is designed to be the last science course a student takes before high school biology. We will study such topics as the atmosphere, hydrosphere, weather, the structure of the earth, and environmentalism and concentrated on physics of motion, Newton’s Laws, gravity, and astrophysics. The class includes numerous hands-on experiments and is taught from a Christian viewpoint with emphasis on the incredible design features apparent throughout God’s creation.

There is a $30 material fee included in the cost of this class.
